Shelly, one of the newest members of the Country
Music Association, realizes just how far she has come from a small rural
town in central Missouri. She knew from the age of five years that singing
professionally would be her accomplishment in life. While in high school,
she won a guitar from a local music store in her hometown. This encouraged
her to begin writing original songs and even her criminal justice degree
from Central Missouri State University couldn't stand in the way of her
desire to become a country music singer. She is a very dedicated
entertainer and quick to credit her strength, inspiration and success to her
loving parents.
Touring and opening with such acts as Michael Peterson,
Blake Shelton, Sara Evans, Dwight Yokham, Trace Adkins, Keith Urban, Brooks
and Dunn and Lonestar gave Shelly a great musical education, experience and
special respect for a continually growing and dedicated fan base. Her most
favorite honors were to perform the National Anthem in the high profile
spotlight for two of NASCAR's Winston Cup Races at the Michigan Motor
Speedway.
Shelly formed "Broadband", an all girl band, and that
has also helped to make a name for her across America. After performing
hundreds of shows each year, vast audiences have fallen in love with them.
Their "standing room only" performances are evident of their popularity.
She has recorded 5 independent albums and in 2005 she teamed up with
Ireland’s leading independent label, "L&M Records". This was a great step
toward making her music available to a worldwide audience. Her first
single, "Don't Fall In Love", will soon be in Ireland and will quickly be
followed by an album. Shelly currently has a chart topping single, "The
Note", and it continues to steadily climb on the country charts.
