Automotive Publisher Features Second Article About Classic Cars Southeast
________________________________________________________________________________
(May 12, 2008) –
Representatives of New York based, Harris Publications, were recently
in middle Tennessee covering a feature story for one of their magazines.
The article included Lebanon based Classic Cars Southeast and it was the
second time for the publisher to write about the work of this unique classic
car dealership. In June of 2007, one of Harris’ most popular national
publications, RIDES Magazine, featured a story about Tennessee
resident, John Derakhshan, and his 1973 Caprice that had just been restored
by the dealership’s restoration facility. The publisher’s focus remained on
Derakhshan as its staff anxiously awaited the completion of his newest
project with the classic car facility.
Derakhshan’s most recent
restoration, a 1979 Impala Aerocoupe, was certainly worth the wait and upon
its completion, prompted the publishing company to make a second trip to
Middle Tennessee for review of another successful accomplishment by the
dealership. “We are extremely honored that our work was selected as a
feature article in a Harris Publications magazine for the second year in a
row”, said Dale Nunnery, founder and president of Classic Cars Southeast,
“we also appreciate Mr. Derakhshan’s trust and confidence in our
abilities”. For additional information on the dealership, visit them online
at

“RIDES” is
the hottest automotive magazine on the street
because each issue delivers what its readers crave most; - the coolest
tricked out cars, new car reviews, old school throwbacks, celebrity cars,
performance advice, the best customizations and groundbreaking stories on
the latest automotive trends. If a subject represents the “best” or “most
interesting” in automotive, it will be a story in “RIDES”. The
magazine can be purchased at any newsstand or it can also be checked out
online at:
www.rides-mag.com.
This most recent article
about Classic Cars Southeast and their customer currently appears in the
summer 2008 issue of a new magazine presented by “RIDES” and
Harris Publications. The new publication is appropriately called “DONK”,
BOX & BUBBLE” and features articles on the appropriate classic vehicles
that, due to specific styling, are representative of the title. Catchy or
symbolic identifications have become the method of categorizing various
classic automobile styles and the publication joins this trend by featuring
interesting articles about those rides.
“DONK”
– includes the Impala & Caprice (sloping tail).
“BOX” – includes the Impala & Caprice (boxy rear clip).
“BUBBLE” – includes the Impala & Caprice (rounded on both ends).
* These three categories are considered the “TRIFECTA” series.
The most recent article was
written by the magazine’s Atlanta based senior editor, Evan Yates, same
author of the original “RIDES” editorial in the summer of 2007. “Mr.
Derakhshan’s vehicle certainly fits our publication’s demographics”, said
Yates in an interview at the dealership, “the restoration project turned out
to be far above and beyond the average “ride” so it was just natural for us
to coordinate a second story for our readers”. Derakhshan’s Impala
Aerocoupe is categorized as a “box”, due to its boxy rear clip, and can be
seen in the magazine’s volume II. Issues of the publication can be found on
newsstands seven times per year and additional information is available
online at:

Derakhshan did some of the
restoration himself and once the vehicle was turned over to the Classic Cars
Southeast staff, they wanted to ensure the very best professional finish for
the Impala’s two-tone black and camel exterior. To accomplish this goal,
they used quality DuPont Performance Coatings, distributed by COLORMATCH
Automotive Refinish Centers. This phase of the project took place in the
facility’s state-of-the-art paint booth. The auto’s unique finish has
already garnered favorable comments from many enthusiasts who have had the
opportunity to see and appreciate the great looking ride. Derakhshan, an
avid car enthusiast, is obviously a satisfied repeat customer of Classic
Cars Southeast and the restoration staff eagerly awaits an opportunity to
see what his next project will be. He has a great appreciation for classic
vehicles and has owned several over the past few years.
To date, articles have been
written about two of Derakhshan’s classics, a “DONK” and a “BOX”, and it was
recently disclosed that he is now considering becoming the proud owner of a
’96 model Caprice (BUBBLE). It is predicted that fans may, once again, have
an opportunity to see him in the, not too distant, future showcasing his
newest project in, yet another, magazine from Harris Publications. In fact,
if that auto receives the same notoriety, for which he has become
accustomed, he could very well be on his way to receiving a “TRIFECTA” award
of accomplishment.

A specific
outdoor setting for some of the Impala’s photos was desired
by the
photography crew and they were very satisfied with the perfect
back drop at
a nearby concrete materials facility.

Senior editor,
Evan Yates (standing left) discusses the Impala with
official
photographer, Tony Harmer, as a professional crew prepares
the auto for
a series of Photos. Harmer also captured several quality
photos of the ’79
Aerocoupe at and around the classic car dealership.
