(May 13, 2008) Lebanon based, Classic Cars Southeast, will sponsor this year's 10th annual Granville Heritage Day Antique Car Show on May 24.  The show, one component of the Granville Heritage Day festivities, will feature some of the best antique and classic vehicles in Middle Tennessee, all competing for prizes in various categories.  The show’s setting will be along the beautiful banks of Cordell Hull Lake in historical Granville.  Other activities of the Heritage Day celebration will include a bluegrass competition, children’s rides & petting zoo, various craft booths, an antique tractor & engine show, entertainment, historic buildings & museum, Confederate Civil War Living History, great food and much more.  As always, the entire Heritage Day calendar of events will be family friendly and designed to ensure the entire family unit has a great day of fun together.

Dale Nunnery, founder and president of Classic Cars Southeast, will be honored this year during the show’s awards ceremony for his appreciation of, and contributions to the preservation of, those interesting autos of times past.  Nunnery, a Lebanon resident and long time automotive enthusiast, is an avid collector of some very rare and interesting vehicles.  Once the proud owner of 14 classics in 2004, today he oversees one of the largest classic car dealerships in the southeast with a client base consisting of customers from all over the world.  “It is a sincere pleasure to be part of the Granville Heritage Day Celebration”, said Nunnery, “and it is, indeed, a great honor for the organizers to recognize my appreciation for the antique and classic vehicles of the past”.

Visitors are in for a special treat when they take that walk down “memory lane” at Nunnery’s impressive “museum-quality” showroom that contains almost 30,000 square feet of automotive history.  Additionally, the facility’s 10,500 square foot state-of-the-art restoration center has the ability to accomplish any project from minor tune-ups and engine repair to major “frame-off” restorations.  Various types and models of vehicles may travel through the facility at times, however, Nunnery and his crew primarily deal with muscle cars and others manufactured between the late 50’s and early 70’s.  The four-year-old company employs a work force of professionals dedicated to the preservation and enjoyment of the American classic automobile.

The internet has made it possible for everyone to seem as close as a next door neighbor and requests for the American classics are received from auto enthusiasts around the globe.  Several vehicles have already been exported to international destinations such as Australia, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Italy and Sweden.  Some locations have received multiple shipments and inquiries are common from brokers in various countries around the globe.  At least one has found its way to the Middle East and there have been several visitors to the showroom, along with numerous internet inquiries, from the United Kingdom.  Such aggressive activity has made the small town Middle Tennessee dealership a prominent player in the international arena.  Muscle cars seem to be preferred by the European clients and their favorites seem to be the Corvette, GTO, Mustang and Camaro.

Classic Cars Southeast founder and president, Dale Nunnery, stands in the foreground of a beautiful rare 1956 Pontiac Star Chief convertible on display in the showroom of his Lebanon dealership.  The Star Chief   has received a complete “frame-off” restoration, similar to others in the museum-quality showroom which normally contains a display of around 40 vehicles at any given time.   The classic car enthusiast will be   honored at the 2008 Heritage Day Antique Car Show for his ongoing efforts to ensure the American classic automobile continues to be an integral part of our American culture.
