Classic Cars Southeast Conducts Seminar
for Auto Insurance Representatives
________________________________________________________________________________
(February 25, 2008) As classic
car ownership continues to grow, so does the need for an auto insurance
program designed specifically for those “special category” vehicles.
Lebanon based, Classic Cars Southeast, recently held an educational seminar
for several insurance industry personnel currently involved in writing
policies on classic, antique and vintage autos. The session was designed to
educate the representatives on how to determine initial cost and repair of
those special “prize vehicles” from the past.
Bill Goodwin, a long
time member of the Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA) assisted with
the seminar by conducting a tour of the dealership’s museum-quality
showroom. During the tour he educated participants on the various classes
of older automobiles and how pricing can be determined based on quality,
rareness and uniqueness of the respective vehicle. Goodwin is owner of
several antique cars himself and has a special appreciation for the Cadillac
LaSalle.
Classic Cars Southeast
representative, Ron Sturgis, coordinated tours of the company’s restoration
facility and restoration foreman, Corey Jenkins, provided comprehensive
information concerning specialized repair procedures that might become
necessary for the vehicles. Participants were given a thorough tour of the
dealership’s 10,500 square foot “state-of-the-art” center where any project
can be accomplished from minor tune-ups and performance upgrades to complete
“frame-off” restorations.
“It was our sincere
pleasure to assist the insurance underwriters,” said Dale Nunnery, founder
and president of Classic Cars Southeast. “We receive many comments
concerning insurance on the vehicles we sell and this new experience has
also offered beneficial information that we can pass on to our clients.”
American classic car ownership maintains an impressive growth pattern across
the US and continues to spread throughout the international community.
Over the past several
months, the dealership exported vehicles to such international destinations
as Australia, Canada, Denmark, Finland and Sweden. It is common for the
dealership to receive inquiries about American classics from enthusiasts
located in various countries around the globe. Additional information on
the classic car dealership and restoration center can be located on their
website at classiccarsse.com.

Several auto insurance representatives take
time out of a special training seminar at Classic Cars Southeast to pose for
a group photo among the50 or so classic vehicles on display at the
dealership. This special training session was conducted by Ron Sturgis
(Front row, far right), a dealership
employee and Bill Goodwin (back row, far right), Gallatin, Tennessee
resident and long time member in good standing with the Antique Automobile
Club of America. The seminar was designed to ensure the representatives
obtained an extensive familiarity with the classic vehicles. |
