(April 6, 2007 –
Nashville, TN) Morgan
Shepherd, pilot of the #89 Dodge Charger in NASCAR’s Nextel Cup Series, took
time out for a “fun trip” while he was in middle Tennessee competing in the
Nashville Super Speedway Pepsi 300. Shepherd enjoyed a tour of the showroom
and restoration center at Lebanon based Classic Cars Southeast. “It was a
sincere pleasure to meet the legendary race car driver”, said Dale Nunnery,
founder and President of the unique classic car dealership, “I have watched
him race for years and admire his accomplishments on and off the track”.
Classic Cars Southeast was founded in 2004 and has become an international
dealership in American classics with sales to clients in countries such as
Canada, Australia, Sweden and Denmark.

Southeast can be found at

Shepherd’s career credits
include 511 Cup starts, 138 top ten finishes and 4 wins. He takes great
pride in having the only “faith-based” racing team in NASCAR and is quick to
let everyone know that his team is actually a “racing ministry” with special
outreach programs for the tight-knit motor sports community. His racing
career, which has garnered enormous recognition and popularity, is
overshadowed only by his respectable reputation for charitable contributions
to society. In fact, this year the “Morgan Shepherd Charitable Fund”
celebrates 21 years of dedicated attention to others. The program is
designed to assist the needy and handicapped throughout the Virginia
Mountains. Each December, the fund hosts a very special trip to that area
with a special program to share the true meaning of Christmas with the less
fortunate. The trip has become a holiday tradition for Morgan, his family
and friends.

Chevrolet Bel Air on display in the dealership’s showroom. “I remember
having one of these and it was a favorite ”, said Shepherd, as the two
reminisce about the classic automobile’s 50th anniversary. Shepherd, most
known for his 40-year career in motor sports, is also a classic car
enthusiast, once having his own collection of up to 37 classics of various
makes and models.
